The Doctors share the responsibility for child health development with the Health Visitors. The first developmental baby checks will be between six and eight weeks after birth. The appointment usually coincides with the mothers post natal check. There are two more developmental checks at eighteen months and three years. These are carried out by the Health Visitor.
